What a wonderful book. I loved the characters, they were all so well defined and I was able to laugh and cry with them.This is a story about a young girl, Skeeter, who wants to be a reporter and has to come up with a good story in order to get published so she decides to interview "The Help" - or the maids - to get their point of view. At first they are afraid to talk because of the consequences that they will pay but slowly, one at a time, they tell their story.
It's so sad to think we lived in those times and treated other human beings that way.
Highly recommend.
